Conditions and Symptoms

Patient's Condition

The patient had previously experienced back pain and leg numbness and had been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and disc herniation. The symptoms worsened with standing and walking, resulting in a continued state of limited mobility and led him to seek consultation at our clinic.

The MRI scan of the lumbar spine revealed a deformity extending throughout the entire lumbar region, from the second lumbar vertebra L/1 to the first sacral S1. This type of condition is known as disc herniation. The leg nerves were also compressed, causing spinal stenosis and nerve-related symptoms.

Discseel Procedure (DST)

After conducting an examination of the discs, four damaged areas (L2/L3, L3/L4, L4/L5, L5/S1) were identified, and Discseel Procedure (DST) was performed.

Although sedatives are being used, it is necessary to alleviate pain as much as possible. On the picture local anesthesia is being administered.

Here, I am leaning forward while confirming the position of the lumbar spine and discs on the monitor screen. This is to ensure accurate insertion of the treatment needles into the discs.

The examination is about to start after the needles have been successfully inserted.

During the examination the damaged area of the disc appears dark, indicating a high likelihood of inflammation in the surrounding area. Based on the test result Discseel Procedure (DST) was performed. The treatment took 17 minutes.

A Message from the Clinic`s Director

Today, treatment was carried out by a team of three physicians. It was a bit of a busy day with a patient from Indonesia among others. Most of the Indonesian patients come to us by word-of-mouth recommendations, and our staff takes great pride in that.
Now... yesterday's Hanshin Tigers game ended in a draw against the Chiba Lotte Marines. It was an intense five-hour battle, and I ended up going to bed after 11 p.m. I hope they can secure a decisive victory today.
