Conditions and Symptoms

Patient's Condition

The patient started experiencing lower back pain about 5 years. Later, he developed neuropathic pain in both legs, which has led to a loss of mobility. The symptoms worsened, every time when he attempted climbing stairs or walking on slopes.

Examination and Test Results

Treatment Scene 1

The MRI examination of the lower back shows deformed intervertebral discs, with volume decreased by more than 50% from the second lumbar vertebra L/2 to the first sacrum S/1. This condition is considered to be the cause of both lower back pain and neuropathic pain.

Treatment Content

Discseel Procedure (DST)

Treatment was performed on four intervertebral discs (L2/L3, L3/L4, L4/L5, L5/S1).

Treatment Scene 2

Local anesthesia was applied, and treatment needles were inserted. The bone deformation was not severe, and standard needles were used for the treatment.

Treatment Scene 3

The treatment needles were inserted to the intervertebral discs for contrast examination. This test is essential for identifying the damaged area, which may lead to changes in the treatment approach based on the results.

Here, the damaged areas of the intervertebral discs are being examined. After confirming the damage, the treatment was performed, taking about 16 minutes.

A Message from the Clinic`s Director

It was a two-day weekend starting from Sunday. On Sunday, I stayed at home and read books as my children were studying. However, on Monday, we went to the public pool in Yamatokoriyama, near my home.

Public Pool

The place was crowded. The sky was cloudless, and the temperature was over 36 degrees Celsius, so I was able to do some photosynthesis (LOL). When you get sunburned, sleep-inducing substances are released from melanocytes, which induce drowsiness. So, yesterday, my children went to bed around 9:00 PM. Although I wasn't very tired, I also fell asleep around 10:00 PM. For people with insomnia, exposure to sunlight may improve their condition.
