Patient's Condition
The patient has long suffered from lower back pain. After seeing her 77-year-old elder sister able to walk again after undergoing treatment at our clinic, she decided to come for a consultation. Currently, the patient can walk about 100 meters using a cane, but if she exceeds that, back pain will appear and her body tends to bend forward.
Examination

MRI results showed a condition very similar to her elder sister's. Four intervertebral discs had suffered serious damage and their volume was only about 20% of their normal size. The nerves in her legs also began to be affected, and the patient was diagnosed with spinal canal stenosis.
Treatment Material
Discseel® Treatment (Discseel® Procedure)
The patient specifically requested to undergo the Discseel® procedure, just like her elder sister.

We used a low dose of sedative and added a larger amount of local anesthetic. When inserting the catheter for the treatment, the patient was still semi-conscious, but did not feel significant pain.
This is a video of the Discseel® treatment being performed on the intervertebral disc.

Photos before and after treatment. The photo on the left is before treatment, and the one on the right is after treatment. An increase in disc volume is visible. Two hours after the procedure, the patient was able to walk home.
A Word from the Director
Lately, the morning temperatures have been very cold, so I started using my car to go to the clinic. I use my beloved Jeep Wrangler, which has traveled over 100,000 kilometers. Although its suspension isn't great and the seats are starting to wear out, I still like it and continue to use it even though it's not good for my back.
