Patient's Condition

The patient has had lower back pain since her 50s and was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis at a nearby orthopedic clinic, where she was being monitored. However, now that her husband has retired, she decided to seek treatment for her lower back pain and visited our clinic.

Examination

MRI

The 5th lumbar vertebra is displaced anteriorly, and we diagnose this as lumbar spondylolisthesis. Furthermore, the intervertebral disc supporting the 5th lumbar vertebra has only about 30% of its original volume remaining.

Treatment

Discseel Procedure

Since the patient did not wish to undergo surgical treatment, we recommended the Discseel Procedure.

We are examining the intervertebral disc between the 3rd and 4th lumbar vertebrae, but there is no leakage of contrast medium, and no abnormalities were found. We have determined that treatment is not indicated.

We are examining the intervertebral disc between the 5th lumbar vertebra and the 1st sacral vertebra, and leakage of contrast medium is observed. We proceeded with the Discseel Procedure. In this way, we perform an examination of the intervertebral disc (Annulogram ) and provide treatment if abnormalities are found, but no treatment is necessary if there are no abnormalities.

A Word from the Director

It seems the US is going to impose a minimum 10% tariff on all imports. Japan's is apparently 24%, so I'm worried about the economy. Just when it looked like the war in Ukraine might end, now there's a new potential trade war brewing... I wonder what will happen.

ヘルメット子ちゃん:税

Well, yesterday the Hanshin Tigers were looking pretty good, but in the end, they were caught up from a 3-run lead and the game ended in a tie. They absolutely have to win today... Go Tigers!!

I'll also do my best with the medical care!
