Patient Condition

The patient resides in Pakistan and works in a diplomatic role. About three years ago, he began experiencing sciatica every time he walked. After an examination in his home country, he was diagnosed with spinal canal stenosis. His primary doctor recommended the Discseel Procedure, which is performed in North America, but due to political tensions between Pakistan and the United States, he opted for treatment in Japan and has traveled here.

Examination

MRI

This is a typical case of spinal canal stenosis. It might also be due to having played cricket for many years. Apparently, he was a famous cricketer.

In North America, the Annulogram test is mandatory before performing disc treatment. The purpose of the Annulogram test is to confirm the presence, extent, and direction of disc damage. In America, if you perform treatment without this test, you'll lose a lawsuit. It's very different from Japan, isn't it?

Treatment Details

Discseel Procedure

Since the Annulogram test was positive, Discseel Procedure was performed.

These are X-ray photos before and after the treatment. The main purpose of the X-ray examination is to confirm an increase in disc volume.

X-rays before and after treatment

After the treatment, I spoke with the patient, who mentioned that lobbying is crucial in diplomacy and requires a lot of movement, so his sciatica absolutely had to be cured. Indeed, human relationships are vital in diplomacy, and it might involve many sports-like elements.

A Word from the Director

Last night, while searching for something in my home storage, I found a nostalgic item: a "SONY cassette Walkman." I used it when I was a junior high student (in the 1990s), and it surprisingly worked perfectly when I put in AA batteries. Cassette Walkmans are so cool! Especially the angular design is the best. It might be good to go back to the analog generation.
