Patient Background

The patient has worked on her family’s strawberry farm since her 20s, but began experiencing nerve pain in her right leg in her 70s, which has progressed to difficulty walking. After hearing that an acquaintance recovered following treatment at our clinic, she decided to consult with us.

Imaging Examination

The MRI results show that the four discs between L1 and L5 have been compressed, causing pressure on the leg nerves. We diagnosed this as spinal canal stenosis.

Treatment

DRT Method (Disc Regeneration Therapy)

The disc capacity has decreased by 50%, with damage ranging from moderate to severe. As a result, we proceeded with DRT therapy.

The patient was given a sedative to sleep. While sleeping, we monitored her breathing condition using a device attached to her. In this image, local anesthesia was applied to the skin of her back.

The needle for the treatment was inserted to reach the disc, but it took longer due to spinal deformity (about 5 minutes).

After the needle was inserted, we conducted the DRT examination and treatment. The treatment time was 25 minutes. Three minutes after the procedure, the patient woke up.

Notes from the Clinic Director

On May 8th, I also underwent DRT treatment, and I have played golf twice since then. The pain in my buttocks has disappeared, and my condition is very good. My golf score may not be optimal, but I am satisfied.

Then, on July 9th, I attended a game at Koshien Stadium and witnessed a dramatic comeback hit by Chikamoto in the ninth inning, which made that day very exciting. We also won yesterday, and the Hanshin Tigers are now within reach of the top spot in the Central League. Go Hanshin Tigers!
