Disease History
In 2021, Discseel treatment was performed for lower back pain and sciatica. The lower back pain and sciatica improved, but numbness remained only in the right foot sole. Therefore, in August 2024, STR treatment (Supernatan Stem Cell Culture Therapy) was performed. The patient is coming for a follow-up one month after STR treatment.

The photo on the right was taken in July 2021 before Discseel treatment. The photo on the left was taken in August 2024, three years after Discseel treatment. Although there is opening in disc degeneration, nerve disturbance effects remain, and numbness is considered a residual side effect.
STR Treatment Implementation (Supernatan Stem Cell Culture Fluid Therapy)
In August 2024, STR treatment (supernatan stem cell culture fluid therapy) was performed on the nerve root. This treatment targets nerves outside the disc.
Results
One month after STR treatment, there was more than 50% improvement in numbness in the foot sole, and the patient was very satisfied. Further evaluation will be conducted in the next two months.

There are four types of treatment methods for the disc, which acts as a cushion in the lower back, and three treatment methods for the nerves outside the disc. Discseel treatment is one of the four methods for the disc, and in today's patient, it had an effect on back pain and sciatica, but not on numbness. Therefore, to address the numbness, we chose STR treatment (supernatan stem cell culture fluid therapy) from the three available treatments for nerves outside the disc. The results show improvement in numbness.
