Conditions & Symptoms

Condition

This patient was diagnosed with a herniated disc in January 2018. After over a year of rehabilitation without improvement, she underwent Discseel® Procedure at our clinic in July 2019. By three months post-treatment, her sciatica had improved, though numbness in the sole of his foot persisted. She visited us again for the first time in six years because she is planning to move abroad next year.

MRI Results

Before Treatment

MRI: Before Treatment

This MRI from 2019 shows a herniated disc, where the disc between the 5th lumbar vertebra (L5) and the 1st sacral bone (S1) is deformed and protruding.

Today (Post-Treatment)

MRI: Today

This is the MRI taken today. The herniation has improved, though a slight decrease in disc volume is visible, likely due to natural reduction over time.

Diagnosis

The persistent numbness may be the result of residual nerve damage. I explained that had surgical intervention or disc treatment been performed as early as January 2018, this might have been preventable. Regarding the numbness, I noted that stem-cell-related treatments (non-disc procedures) could be an option. Finally, I assured her that there are no issues regarding her upcoming move abroad.

A Word from the Director

Ashuraman

At home, my eldest daughter has been unleashing a barrage of "NSFW" language at my eldest son. Apparently, she is quite modest and quiet at school, but at home, she turns into a total demon. For a while now, her comments toward me have been relatively "understandable" things like "Gross," "Go away," or "Don't sit in front of me," but the things she says to her brother are truly off-limits. Is she Ashuraman from Kinnikuman? Seeing this makes me wonder how terrifying the true thoughts of the ladies working at nightlife bars must be... Is there an Ashura hiding behind those smiles? I wouldn't know.
