Patient's Condition

Since last year, the patient has been experiencing lower back pain when exercising, but around February of this year, the symptoms worsened significantly. After visiting a local clinic, the patient was diagnosed with lumbar spondylolisthesis and decided to seek help at our clinic.

The MRI examination of the lumbar spine revealed deformity and collapse of the intervertebral discs, which serve as cushions for the lower back. This condition is known as herniated disc or degenerative disc disease. Additionally, the fifth lumbar vertebra L5 has shifted forward, a condition referred to as lumbar spondylolisthesis.

Discseel Procedure (DST)

We treated the damaged areas of the intervertebral discs at four levels (L2/L3, L3/L4, L4/L5, L5/S1) using the Discseel Procedure (DST) aiming to take care of the inflammation and provide relief for the lower back pain and sciatica.

Since the patient requested to observe the treatment process, we began the treatment using only local anesthesia, without having to sedate her to sleep.

Due to the significant deformity of the collapsed intervertebral discs, it became necessary to adjust the shape of the treatment needles.

After successfully inserting the needles, we relocated the monitor so that the patient could see the examination and treatment process, while listening to my explanation.

This is a part of the examination video that was shown to the patient. Right after followed the treatment, which took 17 minutes to complete, and the patient was able to walk home two hours later.

A Message from the Clinic`s Director

Today, a 69-year-old male patient who had undergone treatment 3 years and 5 months ago visited our clinic. The patient's lower back pain and sciatica had disappeared, and she was able to drive and travel overseas again. The patient came to see us because she started having pain in her right knee, which led to this consultation. The examination revealed degenerative knee joint disease. I explained to the patient that this condition was not unrelated to the lower back, and recommended medication, weight loss, and rehabilitation treatment. Joint pain can occur due to stress on the joints due to increased daily activities after taking care of the lower back symptoms, so it is quite important to strengthen the body again in order to get back to normal.
