Conditions and Symptoms

Patient's Condition

The patient has been experiencing episodes of lower back pain and sciatica once every few years since the age of 35, causing limitations in daily activities. Due to an inability to sit for long periods, the patient has sought treatment at our clinic.

The MRI examination of the lumbar region revealed slight compression and deformation of the intervertebral discs between the fourth lumbar vertebra L4 and the first sacral vertebra S1. This condition is known as degenerative disc disease and lumbar disc herniation, which can be the cause of the lower back pain.

Discseel Procedure

The patient's three damaged intervertebral discs (L3/L4, L4/L5, L5/S1) were examined, and Discseel Procedure was performed.

The patient was placed in the prone position and administered a sedative. Within approximately 20 seconds, the sedative took effect, and she fell asleep.

The examination and treatment of the intervertebral discs are being performed.

The process of examining the intervertebral discs is video recorded and shown to the patients when explaining the procedure after the treatment is completed. The treatment duration was 17 minutes.

A Message from the Clinic`s Director

After the consultations today I am planning to travel to Hiroshima to meet with my colleagues from the university days and discuss with them the results of our clinic's discs new treatment methods. I am also looking forward to enjoying some okonomiyaki (Hiroshima-style Japanese savory pancake). I intend to visit the long-established "Michan" restaurant, which should be located inside Hiroshima Station.
