Patient's Condition

A few years ago, the patient underwent surgical treatment for spinal canal stenosis at a nearby general hospital. However, even after the surgery, there was no improvement in lower back pain and leg nerve pain. Considering the high risk of another surgical procedure, the patient decided to seek treatment at our clinic.

Examination and Test Results

Treatment Scene①

The MRI scan of the lumbar region revealed deformations and collapse of the discs from the second lumbar vertebra to the first sacral vertebra. There is also narrowing of the nerve passageway, diagnosed as Spinal Canal Stenosis.

Treatment Content

Discseel Procedure

The patient underwent Discseel Procedure to repair the damaged annulus fibrosus of the discs, as the disc volume had decreased by more than 50%.

Treatment Scene②

The patient was positioned prone, and the NST needle was shaped to match the deformations of the bones.

The shaped NST needle was inserted into the discs, and the lumbar condition was monitored using fluoroscopy due to bone deformations.

Treatment Scene③

An examination of the discs was conducted while showing the patient the damaged areas for confirmation.

The examination procedure was captured on video. The treatment took approximately 20 minutes.

A Message from the Clinic`s Director

Recently, I attended a celebration for a dermatology colleague (age 34) who is starting his own practice in Osaka. Although we gathered at an izakaya for this celebration, the purpose was to offer advice for his new venture. This event brought back memories of myself at age 34, about 10 years ago. Back then, I was performing PLDD (Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression), PODT (Percutaneous Ozone Disc Treatment), and SCS (Spinal Cord Stimulation) procedures while working at my family's hospital as an anesthesiologist and a cardiologist. I used to have 7 to 8 overnight shifts per month, and it was an incredibly busy time.

I wonder how all of you were doing 10 years ago? Sometimes, it's good to pause and reflect on the past.
