Disease/Symptoms
Patient Condition
The patient has been suffering from sciatic nerve pain for the past five years. However, she refused surgery and chose to rely on oral medication for the time being. Recently, after seeing a friend who received treatment at our clinic with good results, she decided to seek treatment and came in today.
Examination

The MRI results show extensive shrinkage and deformation of the intervertebral discs from the second lumbar vertebra to the first sacrum. The patient was diagnosed with disc herniation and spinal stenosis due to pressure on the leg nerves.
Treatment Details
DRT Method (Disc Regenerative Therapy)
The patient requested the DRT method (Disc Regenerative Therapy), just like her friend. Based on her lumbar condition, which was suitable for this procedure, we performed the DRT procedure.

Before the procedure, a blood sample was taken in preparation for the DRT process.
A catheter is inserted into the disc. With the help of fluoroscopy (real-time X-ray), the catheter can be accurately positioned within the intervertebral disc.
This is the process of administering DRT therapy directly into the intervertebral disc.

X-ray images before (left) and after (right) the procedure. The total treatment time was 21 minutes.
A Word from the Director

On Tuesday, I was interviewed by the “ZIP” program from Nippon Television about “Winter Back Pain.” The segment aired nationwide on Wednesday, but I was too embarrassed to watch it myself.
Tomorrow, Friday, there will be a golf tournament at Kansai Classic Golf Club (Miki City), where players from the Hanshin Tigers such as Manager Fujikawa and the pitching team will also participate. Thanks to a connection, Deputy Director Ishida and I were given the chance to join as well. I'm really looking forward to it!
