Patient's Condition

About 5 years ago, the patient started experiencing back pain. He used to play tennis and other sports but could no longer do so because of the back pain. Despite rehabilitation efforts, there was no improvement, and even undergoing regenerative treatment in Hong Kong yielded no results. In April of this year, he heard about Discseel Procedure being approved by the Ministry of Defense to treat veterans in the United States. Initially he planned to undergo treatment in North America, but he learned about our clinic and traveled from Hong Kong to Japan undergo treatment.

The MRI of the lower back revealed significant degeneration and herniation in the intervertebral discs between the fourth lumbar vertebra L/4 and the first sacral vertebra S/1. Suspected damage within the intervertebral discs was also observed.

Discseel Procedure (DST)

After confirming the damage in the intervertebral discs, Discseel Procedure (DST) was performed.

Upon the patient's request, sedation was administered, and he was asleep during the treatment. We had a conversation in English with the assistance of an interpreter.

There were no bone deformations of the vertebrae, allowing us to insert the treatment tube without any issues.

The examination of the intervertebral discs revealed damage in three out of four checked locations (L2/L3, L4/L5, L5/S1), and they were taken care of. The treatment duration was approximately 18 minutes.

A Message from the Clinic`s Director

We have expanded the outpatient schedule for examinations and treatments, but the number of appointments from overseas patients has been increasing, making it difficult to secure appointments. We apologize for the inconvenience. Especially since April, when Discseel Procedure (DST) was approved by the US Ministry of Defense, and its effectiveness and recognition have risen, we have received a surge in inquiries from overseas. Treatment costs in North America and Europe can exceed two million Japanese yen, while our clinic, partly due to the impact of the weak yen, allows patients to receive treatment at about half the price.
